Vasculitis by Vessel Size
Large vessel: Giant cell (temporal) arteritis, Takayasu.
Medium vessel: PAN, Kawasaki.
Small vessel (ANCA-associated): GPA, MPA, EGPA.
Small vessel (immune complex): IgA vasculitis (Henoch-Schonlein), Cryoglobulinemia.
Transplant Rejection
Hyperacute: Minutes. ABO mismatch. Pre-formed antibodies.
Acute: Days-weeks. T-cell mediated. Treat with steroids.
Chronic: Months-years. Obliterative vasculopathy.
Amyloidosis
AA (secondary, chronic inflammation), AL (primary, myeloma), ATTR (transthyretin, familial). Congo red staining -> apple-green birefringence.
