IV Cannulation
Site selection: dorsal hand veins (preferred), antecubital fossa. Steps: tourniquet, skin prep, venipuncture, confirm flashback, secure cannula.
Urinary Catheterization
Indications: urinary retention, accurate urine measurement, perioperative, incontinence. Foley catheter sizes: 14-16 Fr (male), 12-14 Fr (female). Always maintain sterile technique.
Wound Dressing
Types: dry, moist, antiseptic (povidone-iodine, chlorhexidine). Frequency: surgical wounds daily, chronic wounds 2-3x/week. Watch for infection signs.
CPR and BLS
CAB sequence: Compressions (100-120/min, depth 5-6cm), Airway (head-tilt chin-lift), Breathing (2 breaths after 30 compressions). AED use as soon as available.
